The International Olympic Committee (IOC) Session on March 12 unanimously approved Olympic Agenda 2020+5, the new strategic roadmap for the Olympic Movement and the Olympic Organization through to 2025. Building on the achievements of Olympic Agenda 2020, the new roadmap identifies five key trends: solidarity, digitalization, sustainability, credibility, and economic and financial resilience. The document revolves around 15 recommendations, developed in a collaborative initiative that has involved all the stakeholders of the Olympic Movement, but especially with input and feedback from the IOC Members. Among these recommendations are an increased digital engagement with people, the development of virtual sports and further engagement with videogaming communities, strengthened support for refugees, and from an organizational point of view, the search for innovative revenue generation models and the strengthening of the Olympic Movement through good governance, among others.
