Pickleball equipment maker Joola has settled its US International Trade Commission patent case against Paddletek Group, covering the Reserve, HoneyFoam, and ProXR Signature Jolt lines. Both companies will pay royalties and may sell through affected stock until autumn.

Joola and Paddletek Group have reached a settlement resolving all claims tied to the patent infringement case Joola filed with the US International Trade Commission (ITC) on April 7, 2026. The agreement also covers Paddletek affiliate ProXR Pickleball and applies to specific product lines, including the Paddletek Reserve, HoneyFoam, and ProXR Signature Jolt paddles.

Under the terms of the settlement, both Paddletek and ProXR will add Joola’s propulsion core patent number to the relevant products and pay royalties. The companies are permitted to continue selling existing inventory and will gradually phase out the affected models through the fall. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The dispute is part of a broader enforcement strategy by Joola, which in April filed a wide-ranging ITC complaint against 11 paddle manufacturers, alleging unauthorized use of its patented “propulsion core” technology. The technology—central to the design of its latest-generation paddles—has become a key point of differentiation in a rapidly evolving performance segment.

Joola said the resolution with Paddletek and ProXR does not affect the ongoing ITC proceedings against the remaining nine respondents named in the filing. Those cases continue as part of a broader legal effort that could, if successful, lead to restrictions on imports of infringing paddles into the US market.
