Leki, the German brand of poles, folding chairs and accessories for skiing, trekking and trail running, has signed a two-year endorsement deal with Xavier Thevenard, the 31-year-old French trail runner. No one else has ever won Europe's “Triple Crown” – Camp Cedar Cliff (CCC), Traces des Ducs de Savoie (TDS) and the Ultra-Trail de Mont Blanc (UTMB) – on the first try. Thevenard's first win at the UTMB, in 2013, set a course speed record. He has since won the race two more times, in 2015 and 2018. He will be using Leki trail running poles for all training and competitions from now on. Leki developed out of a wood-processing plant founded in 1948 in Kirchheim, Germany.
