Lenzing Group, the Austrian specialist in cellulose fibers, has teamed up with Noble Biomaterials to launch a new range of sustainable high-performance fabrics with anti-odor properties. The textiles feature Noble's XT2 silver-based technology to offer odor-protection. Lenzing's sustainable fibers, combined with the anti-odor feature of Noble's technology, are supposed to offer activewear brands an alternative to the polyester which is typically used in technical knits. Based in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Noble Biomaterials specializes in antimicrobial and conductivity solutions for soft surface applications. Its flagship brands include X-Static, XT2 and Circuitex, and are used by numerous licensees worldwide to provide odor elimination as well as biometric monitoring, infection prevention and management, and conductive protection.
