Li Ning, the Chinese sporting goods company, has signed an agreement with the CCTV National Sports TV Channel in China which sees all hosts and reporters on the channel wearing apparel sponsored by Li Ning in 2007 and 2008. Li Ning is providing the Li Ning and Aigle brands for apparel, footwear and accessories. The deal includes the exclusive sponsorship of apparel for the hosts and reporters of all programs broadcast on the Olympic Channel, which will be aired during the 2008 Olympics. Launched in 1995, the CCTV National Sports TV Channel is the primary media for the Chinese to watch sports programs and sports news. The channel is undergoing an image revamp so it can present a professional and trendy image of Li Ning’s products.
