Illinois-based Life Fitness, a portfolio company of KPS Capital Partners and global leader in commercial fitness and home recreation equipment, has appointed Jim Pisani as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately, while his predecessor Paul Stoneham joins Life Fitness’ Board of Directors as a senior advisor.

Pisani has more than 25 years of experience leading commercial expansions of global outdoor, casual and athletic apparel brands. Most recently, he served as CEO of Newell Brands’ Outdoor & Recreation business segment. In that role, he led the expansion of iconic brands such as Coleman, Marmot, Contigo and Campingaz. Prior to Newell, Pisani was Global President of Timberland, where he delivered sustainable, profitable growth within a brand portfolio that included Timberland, Timberland PRO, Kodiak, Terra and Dickies.

He also served as president of the VF Licensed Sports Group, where he led uniform and apparel licensing for Major League Baseball, as well as apparel licensing for the National Football League, National Basketball Association, National Hockey League and National Collegiate Athletic Association. He also executed growth strategies for major consumer brands such as PepsiCo and Kraft.
