Luhta has decided to set up its own Russian sales subsidiary in Moscow at the beginning of 2007, after some 50 years of presence on the Russian market and after a strong campaign conducted in the country in partnership with Gore-Tex since the last ISPO Russia. The Finnish group is willing to take on the distribution of other brands that don’t conflict with those on its own portfolio. Luhta’s collections are now sold in about 500 doors throughout the Russian federation, but the buyers have been asked until now to handle customs clearance and the paperwork, purchasing the goods directly from the factories.
