Lululemon, the fast-growing Canadian-based marketer of yoga-inspired apparel, has added Robert Bensoussan to its board of directors to help increase its international focus, which has been so far limited for the most part to the U.S. The company's management indicated at a recent conference for investors that it is planning to open its own showrooms in the U.K. and Germany. A Lululemon store should open sometime soon in Hong Kong, and others are due to open in Europe in 2014. A former chief executive of major shareholder of Jimmy Choo and LK Bennett, two big U.K.-based dress shoe companies, Bensoussan has been involved with other fashion companies including Celio, Jekerson and Interparfums.
