Marchon has signed a deal with Snowide to improve the penetration of its Nike Vision range of eyewear in the French sporting goods retail channel. Born in 2010 and based in Geneva, Snowide owns a couple of snowboard brands, APO and White Doctor. It also distributes a variety of action sports brands in France alone or all over Europe, and it has jsut added the distribution of Shut snowboards all over Europe, focusing on France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Italy and the U.K. As for Nike Vision, Snowide will start off with a capsule collection of junior Nike products just before Christmas. In Germany, Austria, Denmark and the U.K., the new Marchon Sports division has signed up dedicated agents for the sale of Nike Vision's line into the sports retail channels. In 12 other European countries, the distribution of the line is handled by the distributors of Dragon Alliance, a brand of action sports eyewear recently acquired by Marchon, which recently extended its licensing deal with Nike for the next six years. Nike eyewear is going to play an important role in next year's Winter Olympic Games in Sochi as a sponsor of several athletes, partly through a line of Nike snow goggles co-branded with Dragon. They will be worn, among others, by a French world half-pipe snowboarding champion, Kevin Rolland.
