Marker is entering the protective equipment category with its new Marker Protective Snow Equipment collection. Known for producing ski bindings since the 1950s, the company is launching a line of helmets and goggles for men, women and kids. In partnership with Ortema, which specializes in orthopaedic technology, Marker has developed an impact absorption system for the helmets providing increased protection in the key impact zones of the head. The new product offering is set to debut at the 2013 SIA Snow Show in Denver, Colorado, running from Jan. 31 to Feb. 3, and at the SIA on-snow Demo on Feb. 3-4. The brand has signed a big mountain skier, Dash Longe, to ride with the new line and endorse it.
