MBT has reached a worldwide settlement with Ryn Korea over MBT’s complaint that Ryn and several U.S. distributors were infringing on its patent for a distinctive convex outsole that destabilizes the foot to activate more muscles. The lawsuit, filed with the International Trade Commission of the U.S. and in a federal court in New York, ended with both parties agreeing to respect the other’s patents and trademarks. Reebok has a similar shoe, the EasyTone, and Skechers is marketing one as well, but MBT says it has no other infringement claims active at this time.
