Memphis Depay from Manchester United is one of the players starring in the first global football campaign by Under Armour (UA), Slay Your Next Giant, which was launched last week. The campaign features top players and young up-and-coming players, united by the pay-off: You're Just Getting Started. An unusual feature is that the campaign focuses on players' laces – tying them often being the last part of a player's routine before he or she walks onto the pitch. Athletes are to be given customized laces engraved with a personal goal. They are meant to change their laces once they have achieved that goal and move to the next, sharing on social media along the way. The campaign was developed in partnership with Droga5, the agency behind other UA campaigns such as I Will What I Want and this summer's Rule Yourself, with Stephen Curry and Jordan Spieth, among others.
