Messe München has decided to switch the location of ISPO China from Shanghai to Beijing for the next winter session of the fair, as the capital is closer to the country’s main ski and snowboard resorts, which are developing rapidly, stimulating new retail activity in the region. Many brands have responded favourably as Beijing is also an area in which many Western ski companies have set up their own offices or hired distributors. Thus the winter 2007 session of ISPO China, scheduled for March 14-17 next year, will take place in the National Agricultural Exhibition Center of Beijing, where 13,500 square meters of exhibition space have already been booked. The new summer session of ISPO China is still planned to be held in Shanghai, starting next Aug. 21-24.
