Michael Corigliano, a 21-year veteran of Hobie Cat Company, has been named director general of Hobie Cat Europe. He will run the European operations from the company's office in Toulon, France, expanding the brand and boosting its position in the sailing, kayaking and fishing markets on the continent. Hobie Cat Company, which is based in California, bought out the European business as of Sept. 1. Corigliano has spent the last 15 years as sales and marketing director and the liaison between the U.S. company and the European operations. Since he joined the company in 1991, he has worked in every department, including production and logistics, product development, and regattas.
