Mike Ballardie, who has been in charge of Prince's operations in the Eastern Hemisphere for nearly 10 years, was appointed chief executive of Prince Global Sports last week. This is the entity that was formed last year by an affiliate of Waitt Company, an American investment company, to acquire some operating assets of Prince through several bankruptcy proceedings. A well-known personality in the international racquet sports market, Ballardie steadily built up the Prince brand in Europe and other markets in the last years. Since Prince Global Sports was established, Ballardie has also been working with Waitt to support the racquet sports brand's development in international markets such as Latin America.
