The Italian supplier of licensed jerseys reported several sponsorship deals in the last few days. Two of them see the company involved in German basketball through new technical partnerships with the clubs of Rasta Vechta and Basketball Löwen Braunschweig.
The two teams play in the Basketball Bundesliga, the highest tier of professional basketball in Germany. The contract with Rasta Vechta, a team based in Vechta, Lower Saxony, will run until 2023. The sponsorship agreement with Löwen Braunschweig, based in the city of Braunschweig, also in Lower Saxony, will run until 2021/2022.
Macron is also the new technical sponsor of the Lega Nazionale Dilettanti (LND), the Italian amateur football league. Covering the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 seasons, this partnership will see the Italian sportswear company supply members of the league with all clothing, game-kits, technical products and accessories for the national headquarters and the regional and provincial delegations of the league. Besides supplying the match ball, it will dress the representatives of its beach soccer division, who will participate in the Series D Viareggio Cup, the national amateur teams U18, U17, U16, U15 and all the teams that participate in the Juniores Cup.
Furthermore, Macron has announced a six-year extension of its kit deal with Scottish Rugby. The Italian brand will continue to supply match and training kit for the Scotland men's, women's, sevens and age grades rugby union sides until June 2026. The new contract includes Scotland's two professional clubs, the Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby, who will continue to wear Macron kit after the conclusion of the current agreement in June 2020. As part of the deal, the Italian brand will continue to operate Scottish Rugby's official store at BT Murrayfield as well as Scottish Rugby's e-commerce operation.
