Munich, the Barcelona-based footwear brand, has settled on a single distributor in Portugal for both its fashion and the sports collections. Bedivar, as the company is called, has its headquarters and an extensive logistical network in the country, distributing important brands like Crocs, Fila, Merrell and New Era, in addition to Barbour and Palladium. According to Xavier Artigas, Munich's export sales manager, this is the first of several deals that Munich has been working out over the past months, with the others to be announced shortly. Munich sells its products in about 40 countries but, outside of Spain, has its largest presence in Italy, the Netherlands, Russia and Eastern Europe. In Spain, it has about 400 multi-brand points of sale, 18 own-stores in major cities and shop-in-shops at El Corte Inglés.
