Napapijri has appointed British fashion designer Christopher Ræburn as Global Creative Director. In this role, Ræburn will be responsible for making the brand more design-oriented and even more sophisticated, as well as placing great emphasis on responsible materials and innovation. The British designer became Artistic Director at the Swiss company Victorinox, which also offers watches and luggage in addition to pocket knives, in 2013. In 2018, he became the Global Creative Director of the US outdoor brand Timberland, which, like Napapijri, belongs to VF Corp. In 2022, he presented the Earthkeepers by Ræburn Timberloop Utility Boots with Timberland.
According to Napapijri, the new partnership is based on the convergence of Ræburn’s famous design ethos – Remade, Reduced, Recycled – and Napapijri’s commitment to sustainability as the most radical form of creativity through design and innovation. Working closely across departments, Ræburn will translate the brand’s outdoor fashion heritage and urban vibe into innovative looks and steer product development and creative direction toward a more elevated, responsible and culturally relevant course.
Ræburn’s first design project for Napapijri will be a capsule collection to be launched in Spring/Summer 2025, while the first full collection under his vision for men and women will follow in Fall/Winter 2025.
