Nate Smith is leaving Oakley to become president of the Americas region at Boardriders, the former Quiksilver group, which owns the Quiksilver, Roxy and DC Shoes brands. He takes over from Greg Healy, who will return to Australia to lead the group's business in Asia-Pacific. Healy had moved to California amid turmoil for the group two years ago. Pierre Agnès, chief executive of Boardriders, said that it continues to make significant progress in its turnaround program. Smith was most recently vice president of North America, wholesale sport and optical at Oakley, where he has worked since 2012. His previous assignments include five years as vice president in charge of Patagonia's international business to 2009.
