The NBA has signed a multi-year deal to stream two live games per week through the website of Norway’s top online newspaper, VG, which has a daily circulation of 2.4 million. There will also be “highlights, short-form content and articles.” The games will be exclusive to subscribers of VG+ Sport, who will also have the option to redeem a 30 percent discount on the NBA’s own subscription service, League Pass Premium. The games streamed through VG tie in with a European prime-time show called NBA Saturdays and NBA Sundays presented by NBA 2K22. Included in the bundle is the 71st NBA All-Star Game, scheduled for Feb. 20.
