NBC Sports Group and Rory McIlroy have announced the launch of Golfpass, a direct-to-consumer subscription program offering a series of opportunities around golf. Paid membership gives access to exclusive content including a podcast hosted by McIlroy himself, training videos and 1,000 hours of library content from classic tournaments and behind-the-scenes programming. In addition to such content, the platform sells clubs, apparel and golf-related travel packages and offers numerous discounts, including travel credits. Golfpass is initially exclusive to the U.S., although there reportedly are plans to expand it into the U.K., Ireland and Australia in the coming months. McIlroy, the founder of Golfpass, is a golf legend and one of only four players to win three majors by the age of 25, alongside Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus and Jordan Spieth. He held the No. 1 spot in the Official World Golf Ranking for 95 weeks, and his career achievements include 14 victories at the PGA Tour.
