New Balance has finalized a five-year agreement with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to become the official kit supplier to the ECB and the England cricket teams. The deal covers match and training wear for all men and women's England teams, including the Test, One-Day and T20 formats, as well as the Lions and all four England disability teams. The agreement will begin on May 5, at the start of the men's Royal London One-Day International series against Ireland. Other upcoming competitions include this summer's ICC Champions Trophy and the ICC Women's World Cup, along with the men's and women's Ashes in Australia this winter. The ECB said the relationship was part of a broader strategy to grow the game, with more international exposure. The kit is to be unveiled at New Balance's store on Oxford Street in London on May 2, for which the brand and the ECB are offering tickets to five fans. England shirts are currently emblazoned with Adidas' stripes, although this only applies to some of the merchandise available in the ECB's store.
