Daniel Le Vesconte will be the new managing director of Wolverine Worldwide for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Reporting to Bill Brown, president of Wolverine's International Group, he will be based at the group's European office in the U.K. He will have responsibility for the development and execution of the company's strategy across the EMEA region for all the 16 brands owned by group, including those of Collective Brands that were added to its portfolio a few weeks ago.

The EMEA region currently represents about 15 percent of the group's consolidated revenues, but Sperry Top-sider and other former properties of Collective Brands, which still has a European office in the Netherlands, have a big potential for further market penetration in the region. Le Visconte will lead all the subsidiaries and handle relations with all the distributors of the new enlarged group in the EMEA.

Le Visconte worked most recently for VF Corporation as vice president and general manager for Vans and Reef in the EMEA. He brings more than 20 years of experience with branded consumer groups. Marks & Spencer was one of his previous employers.
