JD Sports Fashion announced that Ian Dyson has been appointed as a non-executive director, effective March 9. Dyson will serve on the audit and risk committee and the remuneration committee. He is currently chairman of Currys and has extensive experience in consumer-related industries and on the boards of public companies. He was chairman and previously senior independent director at Asos, senior independent director at Flutter Entertainment and non-executive director at Intercontinental Hotels Group and SSP Group. During his executive career, he was group finance and operations director of Marks & Spencer Group, chief executive of Punch Taverns and group finance director of Rank Group.
