Next year’s Action Sport Retailer shows are being moved back a bit after much thought into the ideal dates. The fall buying event will be Feb. 3-4, and the spring/summer buying show is Aug. 14-16, 2010. They will continue to be held in San Diego. The fall show, previously held in January, was found to be too early to thoroughly service fall line breaks, and the August show will be more conducive to spring line breaks, production planning and lead times. The organizers of ASR finalized their dates in coordination with several American industry groups, including the Surf Industry Manufacturers Association, the International Association of Skateboard Companies and the Board Retailers Association, to make sure that shows would not overlap.
