NHS, the skateboard company, has promoted Jeff Kendall to president and chief marketing officer. He will continue to oversee sales, marketing and branding, as he has done for the past 12 years as vice president. During his career in professional skateboarding, which lasted from 1986 to 1992, Kendall was sponsored by two NHS brands: Santa Cruz and the Independent Truck Company. He was hired by the company on his retirement from skating. NHS was founded in 1973 by Richard Novak, Doug Haut and Jay Shuirman and is headquartered in the city of Santa Cruz. Its other brands include Krux Trucks, Ricta Wheel Dynamics, OJ Wheels, Mob Grip, Nor Cal, Creature Skateboards, the Bronson Speed Co., Slimeball Wheels and Bullet Skateboards.
