Nike and Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed a multi-year partnership, starting from the upcoming football season and taking over from Under Armour. The agreement between Nike and the Premier League club from North London had been anticipated in British newspapers for several months, and it was estimated at £25 million to £30 million (€28m to €34m -$32m to $39m) per year. It will cover the men's, women's and academy teams, along with coaching staff and representatives of the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation. The team will be playing at Wembley Stadium for this season, as its own stadium is under construction. Nike's deal with Chelsea football club is also starting in the upcoming football season. That makes Spurs the second London team endorsed by Nike, fitting with its strategy to increase its focus on key cities – including the British capital.
