Nike Football has rolled out part three of its”Risk Everything” campaign with the release of “The Last Game,” a five-minute animated feature starring the cartoon versions of some of the world's greatest footballers on a mission to save football from the hands of The Scientist, a villainous mastermind, and “The Clones,” automatons programmed to remove all risk-taking from the game. The film features Nike player ambassadors Cristiano Ronaldo, Ibrahimovic, Neymar, Luiz, Iniesta, Ribery, Rooney, Howard, and retired Brazilian Ronaldo. The Scientist, who has been analyzing the game for years, is dismissive of the audacious risks that these champions take on the pitch. Following the opening scene, where The Scientist introduces The Clones, we witness the dulling effect of their style of play on the world of football. Brilliant football ceases to exist and the game becomes almost extinct. Some of the world's most brilliant players then decide to go on a mission to reignite the game. The idea behind “The Last Game” is to show the world that Nike, like any true lover of the sport, believes that football should be brilliant, daring and bold, Nike said. Nike teamed up with Portland-based agency Wieden+Kennedy and with Passion Pictures to create the film.
