Nike has signed a deal with Hewlett-Packard to accelerate and scale its 3D printing capabilities. The world's largest sportswear brand has spent over three years developing 3D printing and Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) applications, which shorten the amount of time needed to produce and modify prototypes from months to mere hours. This has already led to new innovative products such as the Zoom Superfly Flyknit track spike, designed especially for U.S. sprinter Allyson Felix.
