Nike is moving some executives around among its brands. Michael Spillane, the chief executive of Converse, will be moving over to take that role, along with president, at Umbro. The current CEO and president of Umbro, Jim Allaker, is retiring. Jim Calhoun, the CEO of Hurley, will replace Spillane as the head of Converse. Roger Wyett, Nike's president of affiliates, will fill in as the leader of Hurley until the company names a successor to Calhoun. Spillane has been with Converse since 2007, and before that was CEO at Polartec and Malden Mills. He also held executive positions at Tommy Hilfiger and Jockey. Calhoun has been with Nike since April, coming from Levi Strauss & Company, where he was executive vice president as well as president of the Dockers brand. More than a decade ago he worked in Nike's basketball business.
