Nike has announced a series of general management appointments. The company has named Phil McCartney as vice-president, general manager of Nike Footwear, effective June 1. McCartney, who has been with Nike for 19 years across multiple categories and geographies, will continue to work with category teams, design, product development and merchandising. He will report to Michael Spillane, president of product and merchandising.

Tom Peddie has been appointed to the role of vice-president, general manager of integrated marketplace for North America, effective July 1. Peddie is currently vice president, general manager of emerging markets. In his new role, he will report to Joaquin Hidalgo, vice-president, general manager of North America.

Ann Hebert will take over from Peddie the role of vice-president, general manager of emerging markets, beginning July 1. She will report to Elliott Hill, president of geographies and integrated marketplace of Nike, Inc. Hebert has served in management positions in DTC, sales, merchandising, and category.

Christophe Merkel, who is currently general manager of Nike Turkey, has been named vice-president, general manager of Nike Japan. Merkel's appointment is effective July 1. Merkel will also report to Elliott Hill. In his new role in Japan, Merkel will replace Jim Reynolds, who has been named vice-president, general manager of athletic specialty. Reynolds will report to Mike Best, vice-president of global sales.
