Nike unveiled the second generation of its FuelBand activity tracker and fitness monitor at an event held in New York City earlier this month. The new Nike+ FuelBand SE provides more information and motivation than its predecessor to keep users moving. It does not allow “cheating” to rig the user's performance. Nike's new bracelet goes with an updated version of the corresponding iPhone app. It is not compatible with Android smartphones. For an initial period, the band will only be offered in the U.S., the U.K., Canada, Japan, Germany and France.
