Nike will reportedly stop sourcing products from Samho in the Cu Chi District of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, over the next six months. The factory, which currently employs 6,000, has been a Swoosh shoe supplier since 1995. Nike’s decision to exit the Korean-backed factory in Vietnam is part of the company’s overall plan to consolidate its global supply chain. According to the Thai News Service, Nike sources from seven shoe and approximately 50 garment factories in Vietnam that employ a total of 200,000.
