Norda, a running shoe brand from Québec, Canada, founded in 2021, has launched a new trail running shoe, the 002. In developing the 002, the brand focused on using the same materials and evolving elements of its very first model, the 001, with features tailored to the needs of mountain runners – reducing weight and stack height while improving stability, energy return and heel lockdown.
“The Norda 002 is an elite, hyper-responsive trail running shoe,” the brand says. “Thus far, every athlete from the Norda 665 elite athlete team who has raced in the 002 has podiumed.”
In addition to its trail and mountain running-focused performance, the 002 also pays homage to the mountains surrounding Norda’s hometown of Montréal. The inside and outside of the upper feature reflective lines representing the silhouettes of St. Bruno, St. Hilaire and Rougemont – three mountains east of the city. The pattern of the sole plate is inspired by the rock formation of the Canadian Shield.
The Norda 002 is available at nordarun.com for $295.
