Norm Wesley, who been with Fortune Brands for 21 years, has retired as chairman, though he will remain on the board. He has been in that position for almost nine years. Bruce Carbonari, the company’s president and chief executive officer, has been named chairman and CEO to replace him. Since he has been with the company, Wesley has been the head of the now-defunct office products unit, the CEO of the home and hardware business, and president and chief operating officer. Carbonari has held his position since January, when he succeeded Wesley as CEO.
