Oberalp, the new distributor of Speedo in Italy, is organizing an unusual promotion around Filippo Magnini, an Italian free-style champion whom it is sponsoring, in connection with the world championships scheduled to be held in Rome from next July 18. Since April 1, customers visiting 250 selected stores or 50 specific swimming pools all over Italy will be able to download to their cell phones a videogame simulating a race against Magnini, provided they purchase at least €30 worth of Speedo products. The purchasers will also participate in a contest that will allow 10 winners to attend the championships and 10 others to swim with Magnini.
