Oceantee, a sustainable golf brand founded by Ed Sandison, is the project leader of #FORETHEOCEAN, an initiative that aims to help tackle plastic pollution. Young golfers from across the U.K. are being invited to participate in the project, which will see them involved in educational workshops and beach cleans, to get a better understanding of the sources of pollution and the impact on marine environments, helping to identify positive actions that golf clubs can undertake. The challenge for them will be to then drive change at their own golf clubs. The project is conducted in partnership with The Marine Conservation Society, which is providing the education, and The Ladies European Tour, who will be hosting the launch session at The Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open on Aug. 10, at the Dumbarnie Links golf course. Oceantee and The Marine Conservation Society plan to propose the educational program in various formats to golf clubs and tournaments.
