The Swiss sportswear brand is busy developing its network of single-brand stores in various countries. While the company’s philosophy is generally to operate doors through franchises wherever possible, the latest openings were done by Odlo International itself or through its distributors.

Two new doors are being added in Switzerland in the towns of Pontresina and Crans Montana this December. In October, the first Austrian store had its premiere in Vienna; it is run by Odlo’s own subsidiary in the country.

Back in September, the Russian distributor of Odlo, Zao Brandhouse, launched its second store under the brand in Moscow’s Vegas Mall shopping center. Another shop is planned for an indoor ski hall in the capital of Russia soon. In November, Odlo opened another store in the ski dorado of Val d’Isère through its French subsidiary. Additionally, it has launched a factory outlet in Troyes, which is France’s hot spot for smart shopping.

Separately, Odlo has recruited a head of retail. The new manager is Arnd Cronenberg, a 43-year-old who started off at Décathlon in Germany before joining Sport-Scheck and then working for Nike after a brief stint in the fashion industry. He has spent five year at Nike, most recently as retail presentation manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Odlo has also appointed a new country manager for Germany, Matthias Reichwald, who will take over next March from Philip Schröder, who is leaving the group after ten years for a new job in the fashion sector. Reichwald, who is a 38-year-old former triathlete, has worked for Puma in several roles, most recently as field sales manager. In this function, Reichwald will also be a member of Odlo International’s management team.
