Ole-Henrik Skirstad has been chosen as the new chief executive for Sport 1, the Norwegian sporting goods chain. The 44-year-old will take over management of the chain from Johnny Austad by December. Skirstad has an MBA and more than 15 years of management experience in franchising from chains such as Staples and Spaceworld as well as from PwC Audit and Consulting. Lars Bengtsson is the new chief executive for XXL in Sweden. He replaces Marcus Wibergh who, after four years in office as the Swedish CEO, has moved to Norway to become CEO of XXL's Nordic region, including Finland. Bengtsson took his new position on June 1. His previous work experience includes ten years at Stadium as department manager, store manager, regional manager and country manager for Sweden, as well as five years of retail experience elsewhere.
