On Aug. 12, Anton Magnusson became managing director of Hestra-Handsken and Martin Magnusson & Co. He has been working for the Swedish family-owned glove maker since 2013, with oversight of its factories in various parts of the world. He was notably managing director of the factory in Hungary and recently founded a new factory for the brand in Vietnam. Svante Magnusson and Claes Magnusson will remain as product managers for Hestra's dress- and sport-glove divisions, respectively. Both also retain their seats on Hestra's board. Meanwhile, Charlotte Carlsson has become deputy managing director of both Hestra and Martin Magnusson. The business was founded in 1936 and is currently in the hands of a third and fourth generation of the Magnusson family. Hestra employs about 400 people, operates in more than 30 countries and produces more than two million pairs of gloves per year.
