On Good Authority is looking to attract investors as it launches its first collection of women's waterproof jackets. The brand's windproof and waterproof rainwear is breathable and made from waste plastics, non-toxic chemicals and a PFC-free, water-repellent coating. The jackets are produced in China. Sara Lewis and Hannah Oliver co-founded the London-based company. Lewis has 15 years of experience at Musto and Timberland, while Oliver has a background in brand advertising. They started the company in 2016 after a visit to the music festival in Glastonbury – where it is known to rain for days – left them frustrated at having to compromise between style and practicality in their waterproof hiking jackets.
