On, the Swiss brand of running shoes, has signed a sponsorship deal with the ZAP Endurance. Located in the town of Boone, in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, ZAP Endurance is a non-profit, year-round training center for post-collegiate distance runners who hope to compete in the Olympics. Five of its athletes competed in the USATF Marathon Championships in December 2018, and all five qualified for the 2020 Olympic Trials. ZAP Endurance is in fact a rebranding of ZAP Fitness. The change parallels the club's transition from Reebok, its sponsor since 2005, to On. The Swiss brand, whose U.S. office is in Portland, Oregon, has won the Ispo Product of the Year and a Gold Award for the best performance shoes. The deal with ZAP is set to last through 2021.
