O'Neill has appointed Christian Hecht as the new country manager for Germany, Switzerland and Austria. He succeeds Andreas Rauter, who left the company in May. Meanwhile, Sébastian Lounis will start in December as sales manager for western Switzerland. Hecht will manage the team that oversees the entire DACH region from Munich. He will be responsible for supporting the expansion of the segments dedicated to lifestyle sports and kids, while building strategic partnerships, too. Before joining O'Neill, Hecht worked for a number of sports and fashion firms, including Bogner, Diesel, Amer Sports and Völkl. At Bogner, he served as head of sales for the DACH region, responsible for the Bogner Sport and Bogner Fire+Ice divisions. At Diesel, Hecht was sales manager for Germany, Austria and Slovenia. Lounis has worked since 2006 as a sales agent in the sports business at Quiksilver Switzerland, The Faction Collective and DAC Sport Import, among other firms. He speaks four languages.
