French football club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has announced the opening of a flagship store in New York City, located at 587 5th Avenue. It will be the first official boutique in New York City for an international sports club and the club’s largest store outside of France, adding to PSG’s international stores in Japan, South Korea, Qatar, and one in Los Angeles. The store will be operated in partnership with Fanatics and Lids. An official grand opening event is scheduled for March 18. PSG, which competes in France’s Ligue 1, is owned by Qatar Sports Investments and is one of the wealthiest football clubs in the world. Seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi joined the club on a two-year contract in 2021.
