Patrice Dupasquier is the new chief executive of Dosenbach-Ochsner, the big player in Swiss sports and shoe retailing. He has replaced Antoine Fölmli, who has now fully retired after 40 years of service for the company, but he will continue to be involved as a member of the group’s supervisory board. He was actually set to retire two years ago when Stephan Ruggle, the former chief of Intersport Switzerland, was appointed to succeed him. Ruggle, however, dropped out after only a short time. Dupasquier has headed up the successful Ochsner Sport chain, which belongs to Dosenbach-Ochsner, for the last 12 years. Dosenbach-Ochsner is in turn owned by Deichmann, the huge German-based shoe retailer, which is expanding internationally, especially in new markets such as Italy and Sweden.
