Paul Stratta is going to leave after 15 months as interim chief executive of Karbon Kinetics, the London-based company behind the high-end, collapsible Gocycle e-bike, after the upcoming Eurobike trade show. The company has announced a 53 percent increase in units sold for the first six months of this year. In the independent bike dealer (IBD) segment, sales are up by more than 20 percent, and they have doubled in the U.K. On the other hand, because of their high price and their attractive features, the distribution of Gocycle bicycles has been expanded to boutique retailers and dealers in the premium automotive and marine segment, particularly in the resorts of Mallorca and Ibiza.
