Pelican International, the maker of stand-up paddleboards, canoes, kayaks, pedal boats and fishing boats, based in Quebec, has appointed Danick Lavoie as its new chief executive. Lavoie brings 20 years of broad management experience in the U.S. and Canada. During his career, he has held senior roles in the areas of operations, finance, mergers and acquisitions, business development and supply chain in the manufacturing sector. Since 2015, he was vice-president for Cascades' corrugated packaging business unit in North America.
