Accell Group is the owner of bicycle brands like Lapierre, Tunturi, Winora, Batavus and Nishiki.

“It feels like a natural time to transition the leadership of the company. In 2024, we have reached important milestones on our path to recovery. With the completion of the recapitalization, Accell is entering the next phase of its development,” CEO Tjeerd Jegen said.

Jegen joined the Accell Group as recently as Nov. 1, 2023, and has steered the company through the most challenging period in its history.

Nilsson joined Accell as COO on July 3, 2023, and has more than 25 years of relevant experience in various industries in several European markets. As COO, he has led Accell’s operational transformation. After his transition to CEO, the operational responsibilities will be taken over by Accell’s functional leaders, who will focus on supply chain management and logistics, manufacturing, procurement, quality and ESG, and engineering and R&D.
