Adidas has appointed Marcus Morent as Managing Director of Adidas Korea. An Austrian national, Morent started working at Adidas in 2005, operating in the retail finance institutional sector for the EMEA region. From 2014 to 2019, he led Adidas Korea’s retail and e-commerce businesses, serving as Vice President of Latin America, DTC, and most recently as CEO of Adidas Colombia.

According to a statement from Adidas Korea, Morent’s appointment is a “strategic step to solidify its continued growth in Korea” and a “significant milestone that reflects the brand’s ongoing commitment to and high expectations for the Korean market.”

Morent succeeds Peter Kwak, who resigned for family reasons. Kwak helped transition Korea into a standalone market for Adidas in 2024, overhauling the distribution structure and restoring the company to a strong growth trajectory.
