Max Staiger will fill the role left vacant by Eric Wise, who stepped down from his position in February.
Adidas has a new general manager of basketball, Max Staiger, a Puma veteran who joined the company 12 years ago. Staiger’s most recent post at Puma was that of Global GM of basketball, which he held for almost four years.
This change comes quite recently after Puma said it would make its biggest investment in basketball in a decade, as SGI Europe reported before Christmas 2024.
Footwear News reports that Staiger joined Adidas on April 7. He fills the role that has been vacant since Eric Wise left in February, after nine years at Adidas.
